Liljeforsskolan

Liljeforsskolan is a F-5 school with approximately 310 students and 50 staff members. The school is located in Gränby, in the middle of the residential area. The school has a large playground and is surrounded by beautiful parks that invite play and outdoor activities. The school is close to IFU Arena and the ice rink, which enables exciting sports days for all students. The school has been selected for special support measures based on its location. This means that the school may have a higher staff-to-student ratio and smaller class sizes than many other schools. The student group is characterized by multilingualism and multiculturalism. The school has focused on language development methods for several years based on the students' needs. The language development approach should permeate all subjects at the school!

Job Description

As a teacher in this position, you will teach physical education and health as well as wood and metal crafts. You will have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your skills, experience, and commitment to ensure that the school achieves its goals with the student at the center. You will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the educational work according to the curriculum and other governing documents. You will do this in close collaboration with the school's other physical education teachers and with the teachers in the craft subjects. We strive for collegial learning where you, in close collaboration with your colleagues, develop the operations. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual circumstances. You will also participate in subject teacher networks with colleagues from other schools in the municipality where you share skills and experiences to develop teaching. As a teacher of physical education and health as well as wood and metal crafts, you will teach the school's students from grades 1-5. The physical education classes also include swimming instruction at Fyrishov.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a Swedish teaching license or is awaiting a license for the grades and subjects in question. The work requires that you have experience working with language development methods and in a multilingual environment. Good oral and written skills in Swedish and a good understanding of the school's governing documents and the primary school's curriculum are also requirements for the position.

If you have IT skills focused on educational work, this is considered an advantage. It is desirable if you have experience working in a multilingual and multicultural school as well as experience working in a F-5 school. It is also advantageous if you are a certified swimming instructor.

As a person, you take initiative and start activities. Furthermore, you are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities in changes. You collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. We also see that you are good at creating new contacts and maintaining and developing relationships. Additionally, you have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the different conditions of individuals.
